I liked this book quite a bit more than the first one as it immediately felt more driven and progressed the story a lot further, with the first book detailing the complicated politics before the Holy War actually set off. In "The Warrior Prophet," Bakker hits a new high mark, as the various plots and agendas of the vast cast of characters are much clearer.
